OLFACTORY GROUPS

Perfumes, whether they are fragrances for women, men or children, consist of multiple ingredients of plant, animal or synthetic origin. Today, the choice of materials used in the composition of a perfume is very wide. Indeed, the perfumery has a range of raw materials of about 1500 ingredients. Also, if each perfume has an odor of its own, it is possible to classify these in categories that are called olfactory families. This ranking is an excellent indicator and allows to choose a perfume more easily. What’s more, it helps to describe them and get an idea of their composition more quickly. Perfumery is a vast artistic field combining creativity and chemistry. Also, even if the profession of perfumer is now reserved for only a few men on the planet, it is clear that their inventiveness seems flawless. Indeed, a multitude of new juices continues to emerge, especially at the time of spring and autumn. Thus, it seems almost as many smells available on our shelves as there are tastes on this earth! It’s not easy then to find your way among this immensely vast choice of smells. However, a classification could help you.
