Deauville, an emblematic place in Chanel's history
If Chanel has decided to pay tribute to the city of Deauville, it is simply because it is a place symbolic of its history. In fact, in 1910, Gabrielle Chanel only owned a hat shop in Paris. His first fashion label was established in Deauville. Coco Chanel had been seduced by the Normandy coast, its vast beaches and its blue-grey sky. She was right: her seamstress activity developed considerably in Deauville and marked a turning point in her history.

Paris-Deauville - solar fragrance with Mediterranean spirit
As surprising as it may seem, the new Paris-Deauville fragrance does not smell like typical Normandy fragrances. Olivier Polge, the official perfumer of Chanel, decided to build this fragrance on two main ingredients while adding more Mediterranean spirit. It was about highlighting the solar and magnetic aura of Gabrielle Chanel. Paris-Deauville emerges as a duet of basil and orange Sicilian. The result is a wildly aromatic and refreshing perfume.
